Divee

Divee grew up in Gaume, a small region in the South of Belgium. Raised in a rural environment, she cherishes and is very inspired by nature, even though she might have spent more time head in the clouds than feet on the ground. Yes, she’s a dreamer and, as her dad would say : “dans la lune”. Where adults would tell her to get back on earth, she decided not to abandon her imaginary world and, later, finally found a way to express it : through songs. I guess you could say she was raised surrounded by music. Whether influenced by her mom’s love for alternative rock, her dad’s passion for classic rock and “chanson française” and her own discoveries of hip hop, r&b, soul, blues, pop and rap ; Divee’s inspirations are diverse and international.
She now brings her individuality to create a sexy, soft and bold sound. Gravitating around her love for r&b and hip hop, she uses her neo-soul voice to express sorrows and desires, to flirt with the audience or to touch on intimate subjects without shame. Her words are honest and authentic, tinted with poetry.

Like a true Brussels artist, she is collaborative by nature and has shared projects with Jes Cultuur, Ofa collectif, Coin Culture and more. She is currently adventuring herself in more experimental performances, combining spontaneous live production, theatricality and visuals and has had the chance to present her act at L’Entrepôt in Arlon, at Fêtes de la musique or, more recently, at AB club last November.
