DOWN TO INSANITY is a progressive, experimental, dark, deep & angry kind of extreme metal band formed in Belgium - 2015.
They acquired a fast notoriety thanks to its onstage energy, tormented atmosphere and devastating riffs.
DOWN TO INSANITY has now found its place in the inescapables of the Belgian Metal scene. They notably played alongside international bands like Born Of Osiris, Black Crown Initiate, Veil Of Maya, Volumes, Novelists, The Algorithm,
Kadinja, Ensiferum, etc...
After a couple years of silence, the band returns as a four-piece and finishing their first concept album “Ce Qu’il Reste”. «From the deepest times of our world. Man has seen everything. We’ve been through every ages from peace to war, from stones and fire to knowledge and technology. We are the creators, glorified and feared. But nothing lasts forever...».
With its inspirations of Progressive, Death, Atmospheric Black, and Sludge Metal, the band pushes its limits thus bringing a new identity to the Belgian scene.
The band is currently working on a 1 hour LP scheduled for 2026, with the motivation to become the best version of themselves, to take the band further, with new influences, and always with its own codes inspired by dark fantasy, video games, Lovecraftian literature, etc.
