Biographie

Alex Paradoxe is a Belgian artist from the queer underground scene. Most parents don’t want their children to do music or art in general, so after graduating in psychology, and after a global pandemic and a deep, like really deep depression, he finally found the courage to work on the project that’s closest to his heart : making a music album.
Alex Paradoxe is the stereotype of a self-taught musician. Writing songs since the age of 12, he learned piano and guitar on his own just to bring life to his creations. Then he had two great encounters that changed his outlook on music. First was meeting David Mouyal from Take-Off Records, a producer who gave Alex the passion of mixing, mastering & arrangements. Second was meeting his musical partner in crime, Call Me Nude, the singer from the French electro band « C is for Noir » who is also featured on two songs on the Album and helps him totally embody his love for electronic music.
He also wouldn’t exist without the alternative queer scene of Brussels. Entering this world at 19 as a bartender, in one year, he became DJ in the most influential drag club of the city. This whole sphere supported him in his artistic path up to having his song « T.U.E.R. » featured in the Belgian franchise of Drag Race (S2E1).

FOR FUN : The Album
After some experimentations (My Mind - 2020, Midnight Call - 2021, My Bitches Are Witches - 2022), Alex Paradoxe is releasing is debut album « FOR FUN », totally produced in the philosophy of indie music, mostly recorded on his sofa or his bed, just because he hate music studio.
The album is a story of his journey through depression : from love to death, to sadness, to mourning, to recover and then hope. It’s 3 years of work in 14 tracks. The whole concept of the album was to have fun during the creative process. Samples recorded at a corner of a bar, vocal messages from friends, moans of a roommate who is screaming too loud during sex, the album is using funny moments of everyday life to create music.
Visually, two music videos are already available : Ceci Est Mon Sang, self produced in his garage, & FVCK BO¥ produced by the video director Julian Bordeau who has already collaborated with Stromae. The music video of « T.U.E.R. » will be out on April for the final of Drag Race Belgique with some of the cast of the season.
