Nervous Chillin

Founded in 1999, Nervous Chillin quickly took a lead in the local south side scene of Belgium. The band started playing energetic and melodic punkrock, influenced by great bands such as The Clash, Rancid and the Bouncing Souls. At that time, the bands objective was very clear: punkrock soaked with their passion for this music. In 2000, the boys went to record their first demo entitled Home Explosive. Just like the title gives away, this was a demo build on nothing but energy. The Belgian scene, in need of a new punk revival, welcomed the band with open arms which resulted in a massive number of live shows in the Belgian and Luxembourg area. At that time the band also appeared on various compilations such as Meet The Shit People, released on Fuck A Goat Records. In 2001, Nervous Chillin recorded a split with Side Show from Brussels. The songs recorded for this split brought the band to a next level and opportunities to play shows outside their own area. In 2003, after an amazing list of live shows the band brought its music to the next level which resulted in the collaboration with U Scream Records for the release of the debut full length The Kid & Liberty. Right after the release of this record the band decided to have Manu join as a second guitarist to bring their explosive sound and energy across at the live performances. The release was backed up by many great shows with Swinging utters, One Man Army, US Bombs, UK Subs, Bouncing Souls and they got festival slots with Sick of it all, Down By Law, Die Hunns and The Buzzcocks. During all these great live gigs Nervous Chillin managed to capture the attention of Muttis Tourbooking in Germany who decided to team up with the band. This great cooperation resulted in a European tour with The Movement and The Slackers in the summer of 2005. The band, whos first release went through our sub label U Scream Records, convinced us and so many kids that a High Priority record on I Scream Records was bound to happen. In 2006 the album " Bad Reputation" was released in Europe and USA With our mate Label Iscream records. After some line-up changes, NC is now working on new catchy songs !
