Psychlona

Psychlona erupted from the underground in Bradford, England during the summer of 2016, emerging from the ashes of various bands from the area. The sound quickly found its natural path taking influences from all things punk rock, the California desert rock scene, 60s/70s hard rock and psychedelia, and pretty much everything else in between. Fast forward to August 2020, and with an acclaimed debut album [Mojo Rising - 2018, Ripple Music/Cursed Tongue Records] already under their belts, the sophomore album Venus Skytrip (Ripple Music/Cursed Tongue Records) was unleashed to rave reviews across the board, landing straight in at number one on the Doom Charts and ranking highly on numerous end-of-year lists including number two on the Doom Charts Album of the Year 2020. Vinyl copies of the album sold out during the pre-order phase and is currently on its fourth pressing through Blues Funeral Recordings. Psychlona signed with Psycho Waxx - the in-house label from Psycho Las Vegas - in 2021, and third album Palo Verde became the first non-compilation release on the emergent label in August 2022. The new album received critical acclaim, including the band's second 10/10 review in Powerplay Magazine. 2024 brought a new album 'Warped Vision' on Magnetic Eye Records which is now sold out and currently available for pre order of the first repress. Did we mention the album was responsible for our third 10/10 review in Powerplay Magazine? More festivals and another European tour in the fall with Greenleaf and Slomosa. The new lineup has injected a fresh burst of energy into the band.

Psychlona has already appeared at festivals such as Psycho Las Vegas (US), Desertfest(s) London (UK), Berlin (DE), Antwerp (BE) Freak Valley Festival (DE), SonicBlast Fest (PT), Sonic Whip (NL), Esbjerg Fuzztival (DK), Krach am Bach (DE), Alcatraz Music (BE), Keep it Low (DE), Up in Smoke (CH), etc. The band has toured the US West Coast in support of Church Of The Cosmic Skull and also played main support to High On Fire in San Diego the previous year. Three full European tours to date taking in France, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Croatia, Austria, Switzerland etc.

Warped Vision was voted Album of the Year 2024 By The Doom Charts which is the main music chart within the heavy psych/desert rock/stoner/doom scene.

Plans are currently being made for 2025 and 2026 with a European tour with The Obsessed in the fall of '25 and a headline Euro tour in '26. Writing for album number 5 has begun............
