Biographie
Formed in 2018 in Charleroi, The WRS is a garage/psych power trio with raw energy, fueled by fuzzy guitars, a DIY aesthetic, and a distinct taste for sonic trances.
After a debut live LP in 2020 and a more polished second album in 2022 (Capicúa), the band has successfully established its signature sound on the European psych scene, supported by labels such as Rockerill Records, Le Cèpe Records, Gazer Tapes, and Salty Dog Records (Australia).
In October 2025, The WRS returned with Zenith Drift, a denser, more daring third studio album. The record explores new sonic territories, blending their visceral fuzz with krautrock influences: repetitive rhythms, hypnotic soundscapes, and progressive structures enrich their musical palette.
With this deliberate shift, The WRS embarks on a new era—staying true to their psychedelic roots while venturing toward more cosmic and krautrock-infused horizons.
