Pamplemousse
Biographie
Pamplemousse formed in Reunion Island (Indian Ocean) in 2017 and released their first self-titled album on the French label "A Tant Rêver du Roi".
Their sound is a powerful mix of Noise and Garage rock, tainted of dirty Blues. Recorded and self-produced with a homemade artwork (on a purely DIY principle), their album was critically acclaimed both on a national scale (Rolling Stone, New Noise, Mowno, Le Drone, Abus Dangereux..) and internationally (Maximum R’n’R..).
This powerful trio from Reunion Island has been glowingly compared with masters of the 90s genre such as Shellac, Fugazi, Girls vs Boys or Chokebore as well as the Amphetamine Reptile or the Touch ‘n’ Go labels.
