The Shits are the filthy offspring of Leeds.
Their new album “You’re A Mess” is a staggering assault of invective meant to rekindle your fire—a sound that poses a real and present threat to life and limb. The eight tracks are a merciless barrage of Stoogean/Stygian riffs, gloriously purgatorial abjection, and intimidating aggro that takes a garage‑rock template and grinds it into the mud. If these menacing sonics had to be described, they’d be the missing link between Fun House, Brainbombs, Drunk in Hell, and the Am Rep label.
