Madness in Action, the East Walifornian band, harnesses the raw energy of hard rock legends such as The Offspring, Guns N' Roses, and Nirvana, infusing their sound with a unique warmth derived from the gritty, distorted tones reminiscent of Tool, Limp Bizkit, and Slayer.
The band's genesis can be traced back to the meeting of former drummer Ditch Manygan, bassist Art Morello, and guitar/vocalist Phil W. James at Art School, where skipping classes became their unofficial creed. Inspired by their shared passion for music, they decided to form a band and began crafting the songs that would eventually coalesce into their debut album, "Ideology of the 21st Century."
In early 2014, the quartet officially took shape with the addition of Nico Marshall, who Phil personally invited to join the ranks. The newly formed band wasted no time, immediately diving into rehearsals and embarking on a year-long journey of composing fresh songs and preparing for live performances.
Madness in Action's sonic identity revolves around the driving force of thunderous drums, pulsating basslines, and the searing intensity of heavily distorted guitars, all complemented by Phil's emotive vocals.
Their musical journey gained momentum as they released their inaugural single, "Mysticism of Sound," setting the stage for a dynamic showcase aimed at promoting their sophomore album, "Digital Propaganda."
