Biographie
In 2014 Lost Baron started out as a four-piece band: Jannick Verlinde (guitars-vocals), Bert Dewaele (guitars-vocals),;
Koen Huyghe (bass), Dieter Lafaut (drums). With a combined love for all things heavy, they started to create their unique
approach to make a blend of stoner and metal.
In 2015, this resulted in their first ‘Kelder EP’. This EP made their fanbase grow with stonerdudes as well as metalheads and
gave them many local shows.
The next EP ‘Bastard Blood’ was recorded and produced by Martin Furia (Destruction/Bark/…) and released in 2017. Because
of the wall of sound on this record and the more ‘metal’ approach, it was well received and gave Lost Baron many gigs,
such as Roadkill Festival, Trix Concerts (Your Highness support, Godsmack aftershow), Fleddypalooza (Ancienne Belgique
Brussels), Ieperfest, Antwerp Metal Fest…
The gig at Fleddypalooza resulted in a videoclip for ’Color The Blind’ recorded live.
In 2018, the videoclip for the song ‘Indifference’ was released. This song is not on the original ‘Bastard Blood EP’, but was
later added to the cd version.
2022 marked a new beginning for the band. Lost Baron proceeded as a full-on three-piece metal monster containing of
Jannick Verlinde (guitars-vocals), Bert Dewaele (bass-vocals) and Dieter Lafaut (drums).
With a new full album recorded and produced by Martin Furia, released by Polderrecords at the end of 2022, Lost Baron is
ready to mark their name in heavy music. Short after the release Thomas D’Hondt (known from Darqo) joined on bass and
Bert returned to guitar.
Now the band is busy recording new stuff to release in the near future.
Lost Baron has shared the stage with: Psychonaut, Off The Cross, Tangled Horns, Mordkaul, Angel Crew, Huracan,
Schizophrenia, Your Highness, Bark, Fire Down Below, We’rewolves, Fleddy Melculy, Bear, Length Of Time, Belgian Asociality,
The Curse Of Millhaven, Crowsview, Oathbreaker ...
