Biographie
Parallèlement à son projet solo et ses collaborations avec des artistes internationaux tels que Iggy Pop, John Parish, Nick Cave ou Hugo Race, la violoniste Catherine Graindorge joue au sein du trio Nile On waX, avec David Christophe à la basse et Elie Rabinovitch à la batterie.
La musique du trio défie les classifications et révèle une identité immédiatement reconnaissable, "intense et brumeuse, quelque part entre post-rock, jazz et psychédélisme, BO de western et promenade urbaine nocturne" (Julien Broquet - FOCUS/LE VIF 02/11/2017).
Après trois albums ("Nox", "Freaks" et "Bell Dogs") sortis avec le Label dÉPôT 214, des compositions pour la danse (Charleroi Danse) et le cinéma (Hal Hartley, Karim Ouelhaj), le trio a sorti son quatrième album "After Heaven" le 19/05/2023 sur le label allemand Tonzonen Records.
