Biographie

At the origin of Sibel, there's Sibel Dinçer, a young Turkish artist who arrived in Belgium in the mid-nineties. The group, based in Brussels performs since 2002 on a repertoire created through a symbiosis of the different cultures of its musicians: Bénédicte Chabot on violin and vocals (from France), Daniel Vincke on saz, bass, guitar and vocals (from Guyana), Claude Hoffmann on drums and percussion (from Luxembourg) and Sibel Dinçer on piano and lead vocal (from Turkey). In the beginning they explored Anatolian and Balkan themes , and since 2015 they expand their repertoire by
their original compositions.
The group Sibel, very much appeciated in Belgium and in France has also an important range of fans within the Turkish public.
They have produced more than two hundred concerts since their creation
(festivals, cultural centers...) Some of them were: Sounds of Istanbul (Brussels), Fête de la Musique (Brussels, Verviers), Pankultura (Lilles), Les Goûts de Gand (Ghent), Festival des Sons Intensifs (Verviers), Sfinkx Roots Rally (Anvers), Festival de Cinéma Méditérrannéen (Botanique Brussels),
De Centrale (Ghent), Sazz'n Jazz (Brussels), Midi-Midi Istanbul (Lilles), Eu'ritmix (Brussels)...
