Bassiste, chanteur et compositeur basé à Bruxelles, Zach Ruegg évolue dans un registre
assez singulier par rapport à la scène de la chanson française. Mêlant folk, jazz, punk et
expérimental, il propose une musique épurée et onirique où émerge une fusion d’influences
allant de PJ Harvey à Bashung, en passant par King Krule, Caetano Veloso et Camille. Il est accompagné sur scène de Arto Van Roey à la guitare électrique et de Noémie Dambré aux synthés.
Ses textes abordent la poésie du quotidien, la sensualité du monde et la quête d’espace de liberté.
Son premier EP "Da Zeta" est sorti en octobre 2024. Réalisé à la maison en solo et de manière DIY, ce premier opus sera suivi de "Da Ze Live", un album enregistré lors de son concert en trio au Cheval Marin le 30 octobre 2025 . Sa sortie est prévue le 4 avril 2026. Il travaille également sur un tout nouvel album pour fin 2026/2027.
Il est également bassiste, co-fondateur et co-compositeur du projet « Lude et les Métamorphoses » et batteur dans les groupes « LoKa and the Moonshiners » et "Sainte-Lucie".

Zach Ruegg is a bassist, singer and songwriter based in Brussels. His music stands out from the French singer-songwriter scene. Blending folk, jazz, punk and experimental sounds, he creates a stripped-down and dreamlike universe, shaped by influences ranging from PJ Harvey and Bashung to King Krule, Caetano Veloso and Camille.
On stage, he is joined by Arto Van Roey on electric guitar and Noémie Dambré on synthesizers.
His lyrics explore the poetry of everyday life, the sensuality of the world, and the search for spaces of freedom.
His first EP, "Da Zeta", was released in October 2024. Recorded solo at home in a DIY spirit, it will be followed by "Da Ze Live", an album recorded during his trio concert at Le Cheval Marin on October 30, 2025. The release is scheduled for Paril 4, 2026. He is also currently working on a brand new album planned for the end of 2026/2027.
